How to read this dashboard — the five rules behind the numbers
Two load layers, one buildout
Filed grid connectivity (the Grid Access tab) is what a datacenter has formally asked the grid for — MW quantum + a start date, filed with a transmission utility. It covers the whole site (cooling and growth headroom included), so it can exceed the press-reported IT MW for the same project. Tracked IT load is what press and company statements disclose. Filings are the authoritative layer; press is the enrichment layer.
Speculative MW never leaks into headlines
MoU-stage projects are shown but excluded from headline counts until land, financing, a grid connection, or construction evidence appears. IT-load MW is recorded only when a source discloses it — nothing is imputed.
Clean-power claims sit on a firmness ladder
A corporate renewable pledge is not a site power plan. Every project is placed on a ladder from “undisclosed” up to hourly clean-firm supply, and site power is never inferred from a group-level claim.
Provenance is tiered and enforced
Every source is tagged ✓ Primary (government / regulator instrument), official (company), or media. Policy items, connectivity filings, and grid denominators must cite a primary source — the build refuses silence on violations, and cited documents are archived locally for audit.
Dates and history say what they are
Trend history is reconstructed from first-report dates until real monthly snapshots accumulate — it is labelled as such. Power-flow dates from filings are marked declared or estimated; estimated dates render dashed. Stale records (not re-verified in 60+ days) carry an amber dot.
Pipeline by stage — firm vs. speculative
Known IT-load MW by project stage. MoU rows are shown but held out of the firm headline until land, financing, grid connection, or construction evidence appears.

CTUIL handles inter-state (ISTS) connectivity; the largest loads (like Lodha's ~3 GW) connect intra-state via a state utility. This is the dashboard's most authoritative load signal — a regulatory filing, not a press release.

Press vs filings — the reconciliation bridge
The same buildout measured two ways. Press-tracked IT MW is what companies disclose; filed connectivity quantum is what they asked the grid for (whole-site draw incl. cooling and headroom). The gap is the story: filings run ahead of disclosures.

A renewable claim is only as good as how it is procured and matched. Every tracked project is placed on a firmness ladder from "local power undisclosed" up to genuine 24/7 clean-firm supply — and most of the announced load sits at the bottom.
Procurement firmness of tracked load
Known IT-load MW by the credibility of its disclosed clean-power plan. Annual renewable matching is not the same as hourly clean supply; "undisclosed" means no site-specific plan is on the public record.
